Bunk And A Prayer is a wonderful program that has helped many of our chronically homeless clients. The Housing Authority of San Angelo partners up with Bunk And A Prayer and have witnessed firsthand the positive impact they have on the lives of these homeless individuals and families in our community.
The beds they provide play a pivotal role in our efforts to transition homeless clients from the streets to stable homes. It is fascinating to observe how a simple bed can instill a sense of security and stability in the lives of those who have experienced so much uncertainty. We firmly believe that a good night’s rest is the foundation for a brighter future, and their contribution helps make it possible.
From the moment we reach out for assistance, their team springs into action with unparalleled enthusiasm and professionalism the level of commitment and compassion the employees display toward homeless clients is truly heartwarming, whether it’s providing beds, delivering them to the designated location or setting them up. Their relentless support is critical component in our mission to house those in need.
We are truly blessed to have Bunk And A Prayer as our allies in the noble cause and are very grateful for the unwavering dedication and hope that this collaboration can continue to bring positive change to our community for many years to come.

Housing Authority of San Angelo
For the last two years, Bunk and a Prayer has been such a blessing to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Greater West Texas, Inc here in San Angelo. We serve over 7,200 individuals annually and specifically more than 4,500 children annually. We offer resources to children & families who have experienced child abuse and are on the journey of healing from their traumatic and sometimes dangerous situations. We have four programs which directly work with children, two of which work closely with child-placement requirements. These requirements usually include the main basic needs: shelter, food, safety, and a nice warm bed to sleep in.
Not all families or foster homes can provide these basic needs, especially during an emergency. There are times children are pulled from their homes and given little notice to where their next “home” will be. If a family member or close friend offers to house the child until arrangements can be made or until a better home is found, the first requirement is for the home to have a bed for the child. Thanks to Bunk and a Prayer, all children seen at the CAC who enter a situation where they have a safe place to go, but simply do not have a bed, the Bunk and Prayer team jumps into action. Normally within 48 hours, the child has a bed, it is delivered, and families are kept together because of the generosity of this project.
Best part: most of our children take their bed with them, wherever they go. Due to the generosity of Bunk and a Prayer, these beds are not just loaned to the children, they belong to the children. And sometimes, it’s the first and only bed the child will receive in their adolescent life. I am grateful to the team who supports this mission in our community and thankful for their continued support of children and families in the San Angelo and Concho Valley area.
I proudly endorse their efforts and mission and look forward to having their continued support of the CAC.

The Bunk and A Prayer program is a vital service to our community here in San Angelo. As a partner with Bunk and A Prayer, we have seen the joy on the faces of recipients of these beds. These beds often are part of families being able to maintain custody of their own children. And many families often already are making sacrifices to assume the care or guardianship of minors who are children of relatives or friends. Without proper beds, these families would not be able to care for these children in their time of need. Please consider the Bunk and A Prayer program a service worthy of your support in any way possible.
